Penn State's Doctoral Programs Gain Top Outcomes in National Rankings

Penn State was one of the largest institutional participants from among 212 universities in the National Research Council Assessment of Research Doctorate Programs, with 69 Ph.D. programs participating (65 ranked) in 51 different primary and 3 emerging fields of study. [more]

Graduate Exhibition Call for Judges

The Graduate Exhibition Subcommittee of Graduate Council is seeking judges for the 27th Annual Graduate Exhibition. Dates for the Exhibition are Friday, March 23, and Sunday, March 25.

Each year, more than 200 students participate in the Exhibition and over 150 judges are needed, particularly for the research and visual arts presentations on Sunday. Judges may include faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students, alumni, and members of the local community, and no previous judging experience is required. However, volunteers must register online and should plan to attend an orientation session before judging begins. The orientation session will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 25, in the HUB-Robeson Center, and judging will occur from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the Graduate Exhibition, please visit our website.

Registration is Open for the 2012 Graduate Exhibition

Registration is open for both students and judges. Students wishing to participate in the Exhibition must register online by 3 p.m. on Friday, February 17. Also, a hard copy of the application form must be signed by the entering student's adviser, program chair or department head. The hard copy is due in 114 Kern by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 17.

Additionally, stage set-up forms should be submitted with the hard copy application.
