Spring Commencement Reception, May 18
Graduate students from all degree programs at Penn State who will be graduating this spring are invited to attend the Graduate School Spring Commencement Reception to be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18, in the lobby of Kern Graduate Building. The reception celebrates graduate students graduation and provides an opportunity for them to share their memories and future plans with family, friends, and faculty members. Students should register at https://secure.gradsch.psu.edu/commencement/ to attend. The registration deadline is Monday, May 5.
Workshop for Postdoctoral Trainees, May 13 & 14
A two day workshop, titled "Creating a Successful Postdoc Experience," for postdoctoral trainees from all Penn State campuses will be held on May 13 and 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences Building on the University Park campus. The purpose of the workshop is to inform and educate
current postdoctoral trainees about how to establish meaningful goals for their postdoctoral experience and how to manage laboratories and research projects. The workshop wil also include information about the principles of the Responsible Conduct of Research Program.
