SUMMER SESSION 2008

The Graduate School does not have a deadline for processing applications. (Exception: International applicants must submit materials at least four months before the beginning of the semester for which they are applying.) Applicants should ascertain application deadlines by contacting the individual graduate program. Applications should be submitted as early as possible.

MAY

19 Monday—classes begin (1 st 6-week session)

26 Monday—Memorial Day holiday

JUNE

2 Monday —CGS/UMI Distinguished Dissertation Award applications due in 313 Kern Bldg.

13 Friday—last date for a summer graduate to submit a draft of the doctoral thesis to the Thesis Office for format review

16 Monday—last date for a summer graduate to submit a draft of the master's thesis to the Thesis Office for format review

20 Friday—last date for a summer graduate to activate the intent to graduate on eLion

27 Friday—classes end (1 st 6-week session)

27 Friday—last date for a summer graduate to pass final doctoral defense (dept. must return report form to Graduate Enrollment Services immediately)

JULY

2 Wednesday —classes begin (2 nd 6-week session)

4 Friday —Independence Day holiday

21 Monday—last date for summer graduate to submit final thesis to the Thesis Office or upload final eTD to the eTD Web site

AUGUST

13 Wednesday—classes end (2 nd 6-week session)

16 Saturday—Summer Commencement
