University Park -- 2004 Professional Development and Retention Conference
New and returning graduate students from underrepresented groups are invited
to attend the annual Professional Development and Retention Conference to
be held Sunday, September 12, from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Nittany Lion
Inn. The goals of the conference are to assist graduate students from underrepresented
groups in acclimating to the University Park campus; to provide information
on University support services; to offer networking opportunities; and to
provide information and insights regarding graduate studies and the Penn
State community.
The conference, sponsored by the Graduate School’s Office of Graduate Educational
Equity, includes a keynote address and professional focus sessions. For
